Deputy Manager Opportunity at Little Angels Nursery

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team at Little Angels Nursery in Blackpool. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in the daily operations of the nursery, supporting the Manager and team to ensure the highest standards of care and education for our children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery
  • Work closely with the team to ensure the smooth operation of the nursery
  • Make decisions on the day-to-day running of the nursery in the absence of the Manager
  • Follow all administrative procedures and policies
  • Be a positive role model for other staff
  • Assist in the training of staff
  • Attend meetings as part of the management team
  • Be flexible with shifts and staying behind to ensure all shifts are covered
  • Conduct fire checks, read meters, and perform risk assessments
  • Ensure the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage to a minimum good standard
  • Monitor safeguarding issues and prepare the nursery for Ofsted inspections
Requirements:
  • Level 3 qualification
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and experience of working with children and families
  • Extensive knowledge of Safeguarding
  • Previous room supervisor or Deputy Manager experience in a nursery environment
  • Childcare experience of 2 years (preferred)
