Job Description

CBSbutler is seeking a Stress Engineer

The Design team at CBSbutler is looking for a skilled Stress Engineer to join their team. As a Stress Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing new and existing rocket motor systems, including motor hardware and propellant charge structural and thermal analysis using FEA software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform structural and thermal analysis of rocket motor systems using FEA software such as Abaqus and Altair-Hyperworks.
  • Develop and implement structural test plans and participate in the delivery and assessment of structural testing results.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to project teams, including design reviews and customer meetings.
  • Deliver key project documentation, including structural analysis and structural test plans and reports.

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace or Structural or another related discipline such as Material Science.
  • Proficient in the use of ABAQUS software and experience with CAD modelling.
  • Strong understanding of material science and its application in rocket motor design.
