Stress Engineer

CBSbutler is seeking a highly skilled Stress Engineer to join their Design team in Kidderminster. As a Stress Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design and analysis of rocket motors and related systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural and thermal analysis of rocket motor systems using FEA software such as Abaqus and Altair-Hyperworks.
  • Develop and implement software and programming techniques to support design and analysis tasks.
  • Conduct rheological analysis of material testing results and provide advice to the technical community.
  • Develop motor structural test plans and participate in the delivery and assessment of structural testing results.
  • Act as the structural performance technical authority for assigned projects, supporting project customer meetings, investigations, design reviews, and customer stress engineers.
  • Deliver key project documentation, including structural analysis and test plans, reports, and design records.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural, or a related discipline like Material Science.
  • Strong material science knowledge and experience with ABAQUS software.
  • Proficient in CAD modelling and experienced in using Fortran and Matlab programming techniques.
