Competitive Salary

As a Senior Stress Engineer at a well-established engineering company, you will work on all phases of the project life cycle, including design, development, and production of bespoke products. Your expertise in stress analysis will be crucial in providing technical support to projects from a structural-specific perspective. You will also be responsible for producing key project documentation, such as structural analysis and structural test plans. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering and experience in the use of FEA software, preferably Abaqus. Additionally, knowledge of Material Science, including Metals, composites, viscoelastic materials, adhesives, and manufacturing methods, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide analysis of new and existing specialist motor systems
  • Use relevant software and programming techniques, including Abaqus, Fortran, and Matlab
  • Provide technical support to projects from a structural-specific perspective
  • Produce key project documentation, such as structural analysis and structural test plans

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level with relevant Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural, or Material Science)
  • Previous experience in the use of FEA software (preferably Abaqus)
  • Material Science Knowledge (Metals, composites, viscoelastic materials, adhesives, and manufacturing methods)
