Stress Engineer Opportunity

CBSButler is seeking a skilled Stress Engineer to join their Design team in Kidderminster. As a hybrid available role, you will have the flexibility to work from home or in the office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing new and existing rocket motor systems, including structural and thermal analysis using FEA software. You will also be expected to develop motor structural test plans and participate in the delivery and assessment of structural testing results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural analysis of rocket motor systems using FEA software
  • Develop motor structural test plans and participate in testing
  • Provide technical advice to the design team on structural performance
  • Support project customer meetings and design reviews
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering
  • Experience with ABAQUS software and CAD modelling
  • Material science knowledge and rheological analysis skills
