Associate Business Development Director

Guardant Health is a leading precision oncology company dedicated to helping conquer cancer globally through its proprietary tests, vast data sets, and advanced analytics. We are seeking an experienced Associate Business Development Director to join our BioPharma Business Development team.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will support the growth of Guardant Health's Biopharma business by developing and maintaining existing customer relationships, building new customer connections, and supporting the development of new accounts. This role will involve working closely with drug development companies to build partnerships using ctDNA-based clinical trial services for biomarker discovery and development.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage new account onboarding activities, including lead generation, CRM data entry, due diligence, and contract negotiation.
- Support strategic account initiatives, identify new connections, and guide potential partners through the partnership process.
- Develop a strategy to expand existing transactional business to more fully integrated partnerships across Guardant's suite of capabilities.
- Partner closely with the EU commercial team to leverage synergies between the clinical and biopharma business segments.
- Articulately communicate Guardant's global value proposition to biopharma partners.
The ideal candidate will have prior business development, sales, and/or consulting experience, a strong desire to communicate complex business justifications, and a BA/BS scientific and/or business degree with 8-10 years of experience.
Work Environment:Guardant Health offers a hybrid work model with defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. Employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
