Job Title: Associate Director of Research

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Research to lead its Integrity Screening and Research function. This role is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of research strategies to support the Bank's due diligence activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement research strategies to support the Bank's due diligence activities.
  • Lead a team of researchers in conducting in-depth research on various topics related to integrity risk.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that research findings are integrated into the Bank's decision-making processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including industry experts and research institutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of integrity risk and ensure that the Bank's research strategies are aligned with best practices.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Excellent understanding of integrity risk factors, including PEPs, sanctions, criminal matters, and beneficial ownership.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of screening processes and technology, including market trends and standards.
  • Strong problem-solving, people, and conflict management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
