About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Children's Nurse to join our team at Sirona care & health CIC. As a Community Children's Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to children with non-malignant life-threatening or life-limiting conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver holistic nursing care to children with complex needs, working closely with families and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Assist with the training and development of parents, carers, and other professionals to enable children to be cared for in a variety of settings.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide clinical advice and support to families and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the conditions that affect children on the Lifetime caseload, staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices.
  • Liaise with Band 6 nurses to ensure seamless care transitions and address any changes in the child's or family's needs.
Requirements
  • Registered Children's Nurse (RSCN) or Registered Nurse Child (RN Child) on Part 8 or 15 NMC register.
  • Significant experience in Community Children's Nursing, with a strong understanding of the complexities of caring for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.
