Job Opportunity: Laboratory Robotics Support Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Robotics Support Engineer to join our team at Labman Automation Ltd. in Liverpool. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our bespoke laboratory automation systems.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics engineering, with experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex electro-mechanical systems. You will be working with a variety of scientific equipment, including robotic arms, and will be responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance and planned improvements.

As a Laboratory Robotics Support Engineer, you will be part of a small team of engineers based in our Liverpool office, with regular visits to our headquarters in North Yorkshire and opportunities to travel within the UK and internationally. You will be working with a highly talented multifunctional team and will have the opportunity to build on your skills in a range of engineering disciplines.

We offer a competitive salary, 33 days annual holiday (rising to 38 over 5 years), and enhanced maternity pay. We also provide CPD support and an annual subscription to an appropriate body. Cycle to work scheme is also available.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing scheduled preventative maintenance and planned improvements
  • Responding to system breakdowns and loss of performance
  • Providing technical support both on site and remotely
  • Fault finding and problem-solving with support from specialist teams
  • Logging and documenting all support work according to internal guidelines
  • Identifying upgrades and improvements of customer systems
  • Collaborating professionally with customers to build on Labman's reputation
  • Working with a highly talented multifunctional team
