Job Title: Laboratory Robotics Support Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Laboratory Robotics Support Engineer to join our team in Liverpool. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our bespoke laboratory automation systems.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of established and emerging technologies, providing you with opportunities to learn and develop your skillset. You will be part of a small team of engineers based in our Liverpool office, with regular visits to our headquarters in North Yorkshire and opportunities to travel within the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to system breakdowns and loss of performance
  • Provide technical support both on site and remotely
  • Fault finding and problem-solving with support from specialist teams
  • Log and document all support work according to internal guidelines
Growth Opportunities:
  • Participate in factory and site acceptance testing of newly built and delivered robots
  • Keep abreast of state-of-the-art technologies and developing techniques for use in future systems

Requirements:
  • Degree or Apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Robotics, Software or similar/applicable work-based experience
  • Strong problem-solving & fault-finding skills including decision making, clear communication, research & analysis skills
  • Competent in IT and Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word
  • Able to commute daily to the Materials Innovation Factory, Liverpool
  • Willing to travel to Labman HQ in North Yorkshire for training and development
