We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Building Control Surveyor to join our team at the CITY & COUNTY OF SWANSEA.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of building regulations, particularly relating to fire safety, and have excellent communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
As a key member of our Building Control team, you will be responsible for ensuring that buildings are designed and constructed in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
You will work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve technical issues and provide guidance on building control matters.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert advice on building control matters to internal and external stakeholders
- Conducting site visits to monitor building construction and ensure compliance with regulations
- Reviewing and approving building plans and specifications
- Collaborating with other teams to resolve technical issues and improve building control processes
