Senior School Improvement Officer and Team Lead

Are you a qualified teacher with significant school senior leadership experience? Do you have a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people across the Isle of Wight?

We are seeking a Senior School Improvement Officer and Team Lead to join our new School Improvement service within the Children's Services Directorate at the Isle of Wight Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for improving the outcomes of all children and young people across the Island.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the School Improvement team, including Governor Services.
  • Work with external stakeholders to improve opportunities for our children and young people.
  • Develop and monitor service planning, including KPI's.
  • Drive forward the Education Strategy with senior colleagues.
  • Improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

About You:

  • A qualified teacher with significant school senior leadership experience.
  • High quality verbal and written communication skills.
  • A commitment to ensuring children and young people across the Isle of Wight achieve their best outcomes and develop into independent adults.
