Financial Risk and Control Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive assessments, reviews, and analytical reports in areas such as Treasury, Liquidity, and Interest Rate Risk. They will review financial risk policies and models to provide assurance and improve the effectiveness of controls.
The ideal candidate will have experience in financial risk management, preferably in a Senior Analyst or Senior Associate role, and a qualified accountant with a degree in accountancy, finance, economics, or a related field. Familiarity with ILAAP and other liquidity and interest rate risk-related regulations, policies, frameworks, and models is essential.
The Financial Risk Officer will work closely with colleagues across Financial Risk, Enterprise Risk, Regulatory Reporting, Finance, Treasury, ALM, Credit, and Operations to ensure the Society's strategic objectives are met with robust risk management practices.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive risk assessments and reports to ensure the Society's Treasury, Liquidity, and Interest Rate Risk are effectively managed.
- Collaborate with the team to review and improve financial risk policies and models to ensure they are aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
