About the Role

FIND | Creating Futures is a specialist staffing business that services the Skills, Learning & Apprenticeship markets across the UK. We're representing one of the largest providers in our industry, providing training across all four nations in the UK. Our client is an Ofsted grade 2 provider with 5,500+ active apprentices on program and 30 years of experience in training.

This role is for a Safeguarding & Welfare Officer who will take the lead in contract on all safeguarding issues concerning children, young people, and vulnerable adults enrolled on the apprenticeship programme. The successful candidate will respond to concerns raised appropriately and timely, while adhering to policies, procedures, and administrative systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take the lead in contract on all safeguarding issues concerning children, young people, and vulnerable adults enrolled on the apprenticeship programme.
  • Respond to concerns raised appropriately and timely, while adhering to policies, procedures, and administrative systems.
  • Be the Key Point of Contact (KPOC) within the contract for safeguarding and prevent, working in partnership with the DSL and external agencies for additional support and referrals where required.
  • Report regularly to the contract leadership team and customer, to ensure that the safety and wellbeing of all learners is seen as a priority.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in the field of safeguarding within a secondary or post-16 environment, including the development and/or implementation of policies, processes, and guidelines in a complex, diverse organisation.
  • Working knowledge of child protection frameworks to protect children from harm and experience of working with multi-agency partners to ensure wellbeing.
  • Demonstrable experience in working to prevent exploitation and abuse of children and vulnerable adults alongside the Prevent Strategy and British Values.
  • Experience of solving complex issues working collaboratively with key decision makers to ensure organisational buy-in.
