Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Trust Administration Specialist to join our team at IPS Finance. As a hybrid role, you will work in-house as a Trust Manager with a Law firm.

About the Role

This is a full-time permanent position with flexible working arrangements, including 4 days per week. You will be required to attend meetings in Leeds.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Prepare annual trust accounts, complete and submit tax returns to HMRC, and arrange tax payments.
  2. Deal with trust reporting and maintain accurate records of trust documents, information, and transactions.
  3. Liaise with trustees, beneficiaries, and internal stakeholders regarding trusts.
  4. Arrange trust distributions, including drafting required documents.
  5. Collaborate with commercial property managers, investment managers, and financial advisors on trust investments and policy statements.
  6. Attend trustees' meetings, prepare reports, and take minutes.
  7. Calculate tax and complete IHT forms for ten-year anniversaries and exit charges.
Requirements
  • Good knowledge of trusts, including administration of complex trusts.
  • Experience dealing with trusts receiving rental income from commercial properties.
  • Strong understanding of income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax.
  • Familiarity with accounting software or spreadsheets for tax return preparation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of law firm working practices.

The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
