Senior Clinical Psychologist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to lead our homelessness service. The successful candidate will work closely with local homeless hostels to provide Psychologically Informed Environments, developing and delivering specialized training and support to staff to formulate residents' presentation, behavior, and difficulties from a psychological perspective.
The post holder will work with VCSE partners to support and facilitate access to psychological therapy for homeless people and will work with the psychology leads to ensure pathways into psychological therapies do not exclude people because of their housing status.
The post holder will work with local hostels, but also in liaison with stakeholders such as LBWF, NELFT Rough sleepers team, housing associations, GPs, mental health services, and local CVSEs.
Main Responsibilities
- To provide consultation and supervision to local providers of homelessness services in the borough
- To provide specialist consultation and clinical input to complex cases experiencing homelessness across the directorate, as appropriate and as agreed with the Directorate Lead for Psychological Professions.
- Working in close collaboration with other psychology services to ensure a smooth pathway for service-users and their families.
- Leading the homelessness offer in line with national best practice, NICE guidance and in line with expectations from professionals across the Trust and other agencies (including the Integrated Care System)
About Us
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.
