Waltham Forest Children & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)
We are seeking an experienced post-graduate qualified Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist to join our Waltham Forest CAMHS. The service provides evidence-based psychological interventions to children, young people, and their families experiencing mental health difficulties.
The successful candidate will be directly involved in delivering and supervising a range of therapeutic interventions, including parent work, group work, school observations, short-term input, and specialist psychotherapeutic treatments. The post is advertised as full-time, but job sharing is possible.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working with children, young people, and their families with emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties. They will be highly motivated and innovative, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Person Specification
- Post-graduate training in psychological practice (e.g. psychologist, family therapist, child and adolescent psychotherapist)
- Eligibility for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body (e.g. HCPC, BACP, UKCP, AFT, ACP)
- Extensive experience of working with children and young people with complex mental health problems
- Experience of clinical supervision of post-graduate qualified psychological practitioners
