About This Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled SEN teacher to join our team at a mainstream primary school in Chesterfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a Key Stage 1 class, working with children who have complex needs, and providing tailored educational support to foster their growth and development.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Design and deliver educational programs that address individual children's needs and abilities.
  2. Contribute to a collaborative team effort to develop and implement IEPs, ensuring comprehensive support for each child.
  3. Apply evidence-based behaviour management strategies to promote positive outcomes for children with SEND.
  4. Maintain regular communication with parents and carers regarding their child's progress.

Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience working with children with SEND, particularly ASD, ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Behavioural Difficulties
  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and its adaptation for learners with SEND
