The Role - We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead our Commercial Account Executives, focusing on capturing new clients, upselling and cross-selling current clients, increasing revenue, and broadening our market reach. The ideal candidate will thrive in fast-paced environments, deliver innovative solutions to clients, and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a high-performing sales team through a structured process.
  • Coach the team to land new accounts and expand existing client bases for the commercial market.
  • Collaborate with marketing to leverage campaigns targeting commercial prospects.
  • Proactively coach the team to generate leads through various channels (cold calling, emailing, inbound, outbound).
  • Support the sales team by building strong customer relationships.
  • Join sellers on active sales conversations and negotiation calls.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for SMB and Mid-Market clients and the sales team.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and pipeline management using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Work cross-functionally with counterparts elsewhere in the organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing sales teams selling into Small Business or Mid-Market accounts.
  • Familiarity with various Sales methodologies (MEDDPICC, Challenger, Command of the Message, J Barrows).
  • Ability to thrive in high-volume sales environments with a focus on quick turnaround and deal velocity.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced commercial segment.
  • Experience working with CRM systems like Salesforce and Sales Engagement platforms (Outreach, Salesloft, Gong Engage).
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience with pricing large contracts and multi-year agreements.
  • Able to demonstrate customer success through past references.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include travel opportunities up to 20% of the time and the ability to work with a diverse team.
