Job Title: Neonatal Healthcare Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Neonatal Healthcare Specialist to join our team at HG Group in South West England.

The successful candidate will specialise in providing expert care to newborn infants, particularly those who are premature, critically ill, or experiencing complications.

As a Neonatal Healthcare Specialist, you will assess, monitor, and care for neonates in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

With a focus on promoting optimal growth and development, you will play a vital role in supporting both infants and their families during their stay in the neonatal unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, monitor, and care for neonates in a multidisciplinary team setting
  • Provide expert care to newborn infants, particularly those who are premature, critically ill, or experiencing complications
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment

Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
    • Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse
    • A minimum of six months of post-qualification experience in a Neonatal setting within the preceding three years is required at the time of application
  • Skills and Experience:
    • Specialised training or experience in Neonatal Nursing
    • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based nursing practices
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Other Requirements:
    • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
    • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centred care
    • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance or willingness to undergo a DBS check
    • Completion of mandatory training relevant to the role (e.g. BLS, Manual Handling, Infection Control, Health and Safety, Safeguarding Adults and Children)
