Job Summary

Vanguard is seeking a highly skilled Compensation Strategist to join our Total Rewards team in Europe. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving enhancements to regional processes and supporting broader HR objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compensation Strategy and Planning
    • Develop and implement compensation strategies that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement market-competitive compensation programs.
  • Compensation Operations and Administration
    • Oversee the administration of compensation programs, including benchmarking, bonus and merit adjustment processes.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate records.
  • Stakeholder Management and Communication
    • Provide expert compensation advice to business leaders, HRBPs, and other stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key partners in Compliance and Legal.
  • Regulatory Reporting and Compliance
    • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of regulatory requirements, including MIF008 disclosures and IFR submissions.
    • Manage and maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Deferred Compensation and Valuation
    • Administer the European deferred compensation plan in accordance with compensation strategy and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage and calculate distribution values for all vesting events.
  • Compensation Policy and Procedure Development
    • Develop and maintain compensation policies, procedures, and processes.
    • Identify opportunities to automate operations and further integrate into core HR systems.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise
    • Specialist knowledge of compensation principles, including job design, job evaluation, grading structures, and benchmarking activities.
    • Experience with HR Systems (Workday, MarketPay, Payfactors) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Business Acumen and Project Management
    • Proven track record of Reward project management experience, leading on a variety of projects.
    • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and remain flexible amidst change.
  • Stakeholder Management and Communication
    • Proven strong stakeholder management and communications skills.
