Join Our Team as an Independent Panel Member

We are seeking experienced individuals to join our team as Independent Panel Members, supporting the Mayor of London in making appointments to statutory boards, functional bodies, and advisory commissions.

About the Role

As an Independent Panel Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the appointment process is fair, open, and transparent. You will work closely with the Mayor and other stakeholders to identify and appoint talented individuals who reflect the diversity of London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide independent judgement and expertise in public appointments
  • Support the Mayor in making appointments to statutory boards and functional bodies
  • Contribute to the development of a diverse and representative team of Independent Panel Members
  • Operate in a complex political environment, upholding standards and promoting diversity
Requirements

We are looking for individuals with senior experience of high-profile public-sector organisations or public appointments at executive/senior management level. You should be able to operate in a complex political environment, upholding standards and providing sound independent judgement.
