Job Title: Bus and Coach Technician Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Bus and Coach Technician Specialist to join our team at TXM Recruit. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing our fleet of buses and coaches in a safe, efficient, and economical manner.

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience.

About the Role:

The Bus and Coach Technician Specialist will service, maintain, and repair vehicles to meet or exceed minimum legal, regulatory, and company standards. This includes raising and completing necessary documentation in either digital or paper format.

You will be working with our digital maintenance system Freeway to maximize efficiency and data benefits. Preventative and corrective maintenance, fault diagnosis, and major unit changes will also be part of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain, service, and repair vehicles to meet or exceed minimum legal, regulatory, and company standards.
  2. Use Freeway digital maintenance system to maximize efficiency and data benefits.
  3. Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance and fault diagnosis.
  4. Undertake major unit changes on vehicles.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 NVQ / City and Guilds qualification or equivalent in vehicle maintenance, ideally bus and coach or heavy engineering.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative while ensuring legal, regulatory, and company standards are always met.
  • Good working knowledge of health and safety requirements and best practice in relation to working in a garage.
