Job Opportunity: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in a special needs school in Braintree. As part of a collaborative environment, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapy to students with diverse communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert Speech and Language Therapy to students in a special educational needs setting.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the therapy service.
  • Conduct assessments and develop tailored therapy plans to meet individual student needs.
  • Deliver therapy sessions to students, both one-on-one and in groups.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support student well-being and communication development.
  • Uphold the school's reputation for evidence-based, quality practice.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent and HCPC registration.
  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic interventions for speech and language development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to develop and deliver individualised therapy plans.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
