About the Role

This part-time position offers a great work-life balance with flexible hours of 30 hours per week over 4 days. You will benefit from regular clinical supervision, professional development opportunities, and the chance to contribute to the ongoing development of the school's therapy service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality Speech and Language Therapy in collaboration with teachers, support staff, and students.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the therapy service.
  • Conduct assessments and develop therapy plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Deliver therapy sessions to students, both one-on-one and in groups, within a special educational needs setting.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support student well-being and communication development.
  • Uphold the school's reputation for evidence-based, quality practice.
Requirements
  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent) and HCPC registration.
  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic interventions for speech and language development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to develop and deliver individualised therapy plans.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
