Early Years Assistant Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Assistant to join our team at Bright Horizons Dandelions Day Nursery and Preschool in Andover, Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the nursery team to provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities and learning experiences that promote children's cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure seamless transitions and a consistent approach to childcare.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment that supports the well-being and development of all children.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early years education and care.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting (desirable but not essential).
  • Passion for creating engaging and interactive learning experiences that promote children's development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and parents.
  • Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding principles.
