Job Description

As a Fabric Fire Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing building fabric elements, with a focus on fire doors. Your expertise will help ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and enhance the overall safety of our campus facilities.

  • You will inspect, repair, and maintain fire doors to ensure they meet safety standards.
  • You will carry out general fabric maintenance and repair tasks across the campus.
  • You will work closely with the facilities management team to address maintenance requests and prioritise tasks.
  • You will conduct assessments to identify and resolve issues related to building fabric.
  • You will maintain accurate records of work performed and assist in developing maintenance schedules.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for someone with proven experience in fabric engineering, specifically with a strong focus on fire door maintenance and installation. You should have knowledge of fire safety regulations and compliance standards, as well as carpentry experience. A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field would be an advantage.
