About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Facilities Maintenance team at Gov Facility Services Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems, including plumbing and heating.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve complex problems and ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
Requirements
  • Two years' experience working in a role as a plumber or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with and ability to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements.
  • Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
