Job Title: Mechanical Projects Engineer (Plumber/Pipe Fitter)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Projects Engineer (Plumber/Pipe Fitter) to join our team at ABM UK. As a Mechanical Projects Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out pipework installation works, testing, and commissioning, as well as attending mechanical faults and carrying out maintenance on mechanical systems across the TfL London Underground estate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out piped services installation works and provide test results and commissioning certification
  • Carry out mechanical remedial works
  • Attend and rectify mechanical faults
  • Carry out planned maintenance in accordance with the company's PPM and task schedules
  • Undertake PPM activity in a quality, professional manner
  • Production of technical and situational reports as required
  • Proactively use technology systems to ensure compliance with contractual obligations
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with the team and clients
  • Attend team meetings and briefings as requested
  • Ensure the company is presented in a good light
  • Escalate major site issues or incidents to the line manager as soon as possible
Requirements:
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • London Underground certification is required to access all areas of the estate
  • JIB-PMES approved
  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 in Heating & Ventilation/Plumbing
  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Heating & Ventilation/Plumbing (preferred)
  • Other qualifications: Hot Water Systems and Safety Course G3 (Part G3 Building Regulations), Water regs & L8, PASMA, IPAF
  • Desirable: Sentinel-LU-ICI (London Underground Industry Common Induction)
