Join Our Team as a Specialist Disability Mentor

Beacon Support Ltd. is seeking highly skilled and compassionate individuals to support Higher Education students with disabilities. As a Specialist Disability Mentor, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome their unique challenges and achieve their academic goals.

About the Role
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with disabilities, helping them develop coping strategies and techniques to overcome their difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with students, academic staff, and other support services to ensure a seamless and supportive learning environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, understanding their individual needs and preferences.
  • Contribute to the development of a dynamic and inclusive learning community, promoting equality and diversity.
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs) in Higher or Further Education.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to adapt to changing student needs.
  • Strong knowledge of disability support and mental health, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a postgraduate degree in mental health or a related field.
