Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Burns and Skin Cancer Surgery Specialist to join our team at the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Burns Surgery.

About the Role:

This is a full-time (10 PA) position, although less than full-time applications will be considered. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in burn injuries and subsequent reconstruction.

Duties will be based at Mid Yorkshire Hospital Trust, with day case surgery taking place on the Pinderfields and Pontefract site.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work weekdays (Monday to Thursday) 1 in 10.
  • Weekends 1 in 18, with upper limb am support.
  • 1 in 6 weekdays and weekends, coinciding with weekend PA activity.
  • Have access to dedicated office space on the Pinderfields site and IT facilities on peripheral sites.
  • Be supported by administrative staff via the Plastic Surgery departmental secretaries.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Hold a Medical Degree from a recognized medical school.
  • Have thorough and broad training and experience in anaesthetics.
  • Be able to take responsibility for delivering services without direct supervision.
  • Evidence specific educational interests and ideas or project work.

Salary:

The estimated annual salary for this position is £120,000 - £150,000, depending on experience.
