About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Bank Staff Member to join our team at Bright Horizons North Cheam Day Nursery and Preschool. As a Bank Staff Member, you will have the flexibility to work on a bank basis, choosing when you want to work, while still enjoying the security and benefits of being an employee.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Nursery colleagues in delivering the EYFS, engaging children in entertaining and educational play and activities, and ensuring their safety throughout the day.
  • Work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed in line with nursery demands, including hygiene standards and room preparation.
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety, and safeguarding.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive, happy, and safe environment for children and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children is ideal, but not essential. Relevant experience includes Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nanny, Childminder, or similar.
  • A passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
  • The ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults.
  • A sound understanding of child protection and the safeguarding of children.
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable.
