Department / Role Overview

The Markets & Growth team is located in major cities across EMEA, Asia Pacific, and the US. Reporting to the Industry Manager, the individual will collaborate closely with Private Capital Industry stakeholders to support regional strategy implementation, ensuring global connectivity and knowledge sharing.

Main Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Execution
    • Support the successful delivery of the Private Capital Industry strategy across EMEA, collaborating with APAC counterparts to ensure global connectivity and knowledge sharing.
    • Work with the Industry team and key cross-practice industry-focused partners on business development, supporting regional industry strategy implementation to maximize revenue growth in line with the firm's strategic plan.
    • Coordinate market information sharing and internal client and industry financial analysis to support industry client portfolio reviews and identify market trends and opportunities.
    • Support partner teams to drive strategic market-facing initiatives, evaluating progress on implementation.
  • Opportunity Identification and Management
    • Utilize market and client insights to stay up-to-date with current and emerging issues impacting the Industry.
    • Support profile-raising campaigns and thought leadership, working collaboratively with other specialists (Brand, Comms, Expertise, etc).
  • Client Development & Management
    • Cultivate a small targeted community of regional client accounts for the industry, working closely with the Industry Senior Manager and Industry Manager.
    • Seamlessly work with Client Relationship Partners to execute client account plans for designated clients, deepening relationships and driving profitable growth.
    • Coordinate and manage pipeline development with Client Relationship Partners within designated client accounts.
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of designated clients and their businesses, assisting with sharing that information within Ashurst.
    • Regularly review, analyze, and report on client and sector financials to support client growth.
  • Industry Management
    • Build, support, and ensure the effectiveness of the Private Capital Industry Group by actively engaging practices (e.g., the Private Capital CRP Forum).
    • Support the Private Capital Industry initiative budget process, monitoring spend and capturing ROI.
    • Share industry knowledge across the CMG team and contribute to functional and firm-wide training programs.
    • Ensure data capture requirements are met (e.g., experience statements).
    • Contribute to wider CMG team projects, including supporting new systems and processes as required.
  • Risk and Control
    • Ensure all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with our regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
