Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee - Coverage Support to join our team at Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (SGCIB). As a key member of our GLBA Coverage division, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Relationship Managers and Senior Bankers in London in charge of large corporate clients in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily commercial support to Relationship Managers and Senior Bankers in London, including liaising with SG's entities for supporting the bank's activities on the Client Portfolio.
  • Ensure the proper execution of relationship management support tasks in accordance with the Bank's compliance and risk procedures, including operational risk.
  • Work closely with the GLBA Management to provide necessary management information, including reviewing NBI reports for country P&L, country RWA reporting, and preparing and managing the country credentials sheets.
  • Manage loan transactions and provide analytical and reporting support, including calculation of profitability and equity consumption for all types of financing transactions.
  • Support Coverage Corporate Relationship Managers for the UK, including working closely with Corporate & Financial Institutions RMs to build client relationships and promote the bank's products and services.
Requirements
  • Any of the following educational degrees: Masters (II) in Finance / Business/ Commerce.
  • English communication skills (written and oral); fluency in French would also be of benefit.
  • IT/software literacy: word, excel, power points, etc...
  • Internship/s in a financial institution in a coverage related environment.
  • A good understanding of the general, economic, political and business environment of the region.
  • Good credit appraisal, analytical, marketing and research skills, with the ability to interpret financial information.
