We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Business Unit Manager to join our team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage our Clinical Business Units, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in operational management, with experience of delivering services on a multi-site basis. They will be responsible for managing the surgical hub, assisting the Lead Clinicians, Matrons, Divisional Clinical Nurse Director and Divisional Director as required, and ensuring that these services are responsive, innovative and provided to the highest possible standard.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of management innovation and service improvements, with experience of implementing and successful delivery of cost pressures and improvements. They will also have evidence of effective working with Clinicians and multi-disciplinary teams, as well as successful influence of organisational relationships and culture.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Clinical Business Units, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
  • Manage the surgical hub, assisting the Lead Clinicians, Matrons, Divisional Clinical Nurse Director and Divisional Director as required.
  • Ensure that the services are responsive, innovative and provided to the highest possible standard.
  • Implement and deliver cost pressures and improvements.
  • Work effectively with Clinicians and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Influence organisational relationships and culture.

Person Specification:

  • Educated to Degree Level or Clinical Qualification Higher Degree or equivalent.
  • Track record of continuous professional and management development.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Recent experience as an operational manager in a medium to large acute healthcare provider.
  • Experience of delivering services on a multi-site basis.
  • Experience of implementing and successful delivery of cost pressures and improvements.
  • Evidence of effective working with Clinicians and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Evidence of successful influence of organisational relationships and culture.
