Preoperative Assessment and Care Coordinator Position

We are looking for a skilled Preoperative Assessment and Care Coordinator to join our team at Spire Cheshire Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating preoperative assessments, providing emotional support to patients, and ensuring seamless communication between medical staff.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a hospital setting where you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our patients. As a Preoperative Assessment and Care Coordinator, you will be expected to work collaboratively with our medical team to ensure patients receive the highest level of care.

We offer a competitive salary of £38,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes 35 days annual leave, employer contributory pension, and flexible retirement options.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate preoperative assessments and communicate with medical staff to ensure patient preparation
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients undergoing preoperative assessments
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments and relevant medical history
Requirements
  • Qualified nurse with experience in pre-operative assessment clinics
  • Hold a valid NMC pin with no conditions or restrictions
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop patient assessment, decision-making, and clinical skills
