Surgical Assessment and Support Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Assessment and Support Specialist to join our team at Spire Cheshire Hospital. As an integral part of our surgical team, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive preoperative assessments, collaborating with medical staff, and ensuring patient safety.

About the Job

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. You will be expected to prioritize tasks effectively, manage your time efficiently, and maintain high standards of patient care.

We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes 35 days annual leave, employer contributory pension, and flexible retirement options.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments of patients scheduled for procedures
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure patients are adequately prepared for surgery
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient assessments and relevant medical history
Requirements
  • Qualified nurse with experience in pre-operative assessment clinics
  • Hold a valid NMC pin with no conditions or restrictions
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop patient assessment, decision-making, and clinical skills
