About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited. As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the proactive and reactive maintenance of all machinery within our factory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Conduct general welding and fabrication work
  • Operate oxygen and acetylene burning equipment
  • Perform bench fitting and operate forklifts, cherry pickers, and overhead cranes
  • Carry out basic electrical fault finding
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, and twilight shifts
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
