Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Coordinator to join our team at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Southern All of Us Network (SAoUN), ensuring alignment with Notice of Grant Award milestones.

The Program Coordinator will communicate NIH updates to partner sites, facilitating process implementation and changes to key indicators. They will also create and submit NIH technical reports, notify NIH of any changes in network structure or operations, adverse events, or other barriers to completing milestones.

Additional responsibilities include conducting post-award financial and grants management, submitting NIH financial reports as required, and managing regulatory responsibilities, including IRB submissions as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience. They will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task in support of many different activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage overall day-to-day operations of the SAoUN
  • Communicate NIH updates to partner sites
  • Create and submit NIH technical reports
  • Conduct post-award financial and grants management
  • Manage regulatory responsibilities
  • Monitor enrollment, engagement, and retention outcomes for the SAoUN
  • Cultivate participant recruitment initiatives
  • Manage subaward initiation, invoicing, and payments
  • Coordinate ongoing operations with staff for sample collection processing and shipments
  • Contribute to grant writing and application submissions
  • Plan and implement network meetings and working group meetings
  • Supervise assigned staff

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, high level of attention to detail and organizational skills, and ability to multi-task in support of many different activities.

Preferred Skills:

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, organizational skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines, UAB financial management, IRB / regulatory experience, and knowledge of the All of Us Research Program.
