Job Overview

EarthStream Global is a global leader in electronics, seeking an ambitious Electronics Engineer to join their Design and Product Support team. As an Electronics Engineer - Network Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering innovative solutions to the power and energy industry.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic business unit dedicated to tackling complex network solutions, Dynamic System Monitoring, Power Quality, and Generator performance monitoring.

Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities
  1. Providing internal training to Design Engineers and Field teams on products and solutions.
  2. Daily interaction with internal and external clients to resolve problems ranging from simple to complex network, protocol, interfacing, and data issues.
  3. Creating and maintaining reference and training documents.
  4. Assisting with configuring systems to ensure compliance with specifications.
  5. Interfacing with clients at the pre-sales stage.
  6. Conducting Factory Acceptance testing with customers present.
  7. Fault finding on systems to determine hardware/configuration issues.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in electronic engineering discipline or similar.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an engineering curiosity mindset.
  • A good understanding of network products and systems (configuring switches, VLANs, etc.) with hands-on experience.
  • Strong capabilities with PC applications (standard Windows and manufacturer-specific).
  • Good understanding of electronic hardware and interfacing (RS232, RS485, microprocessors, etc.).
  • Ability to turn concepts into repeatable working solutions.
  • Experience of working with protocols such as IEC104, Modbus, DLMS would be an advantage.
  • Ability to build rapport with internal and external customers.
