Job Title: Ward Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Ward Manager to join our team at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our wards, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and leading a team of nurses to achieve excellent patient outcomes.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with a minimum of 4 years' experience in a relevant speciality. You will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional patient care. You will also have a proven track record of managing budgets, leading change initiatives, and participating in audit and research projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the ward, including staffing, budgets, and resources
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient care and outcomes
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care pathways
  • Participate in audit and research projects to improve patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a minimum of 4 years' experience in a relevant speciality
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proven track record of managing budgets and leading change initiatives
  • Ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional patient care
  • Participation in audit and research projects
