Industrial Refrigeration Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Supervisor to join our Cooling Tech division in the North of England. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of engineers, providing technical and practical support across the region, and ensuring the smooth operation of our service works.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate service works, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to regional service engineers, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Liaise with management and clients to ensure effective communication and resolution of any issues.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures, and provide support to regional service engineers in this area.
  • Maintain effective communication with contracted customers, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Recruit and manage Service Engineer resource, working closely with the RSM to develop the region further.
  • Interact and support with Projects BU, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration.
  • Work with the RSM to develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide regular customer reporting and ensure completion of all service engineer functions, including call-out rota.
  • Coordinate regional projects as required, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.

Requirements:

  • Relevant service supervision experience in the RAC sector and mobile service operations, with a focus on commercial chillers.
  • Experience and contacts with regional refrigeration end-users, with a strong understanding of their business requirements and operations.
  • Good technical knowledge of industrial systems and equipment, with a focus on refrigeration and air conditioning.
  • Excellent commercial and negotiation skills, with the ability to operate on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Ability to develop a good understanding of our customers' business requirements and operations, with a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft software, including Excel and Word.
  • Time-served industrial refrigeration engineer with relevant certifications, such as City & Guilds 2078/2079 F-Gas Refrigerant Handling and CITB/C&G Ammonia Handling Certificate.
