About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Smoking Cessation Nurse/Advisor to join our team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our hospital inpatient team, you will play a pivotal role in helping patients overcome nicotine addiction and achieve a smoke-free lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide high-quality smoking cessation support and pharmacological advice to patients who want to quit smoking or using other tobacco products.
2. Ensure equitable access to the service, providing individualized care to patients with diverse needs.
3. Maintain good relationships with patients requiring tobacco dependence support, responding promptly to requests and ensuring confidentiality.
4. Proactively raise awareness of the support available to patients through ongoing communications.
5. Utilize motivational, influencing, and negotiating skills to increase motivation for patients wanting to quit smoking and comply with the Smoke-free policy.
