Job Title: Smoking Cessation Specialist

Job Summary:
The Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Smoking Cessation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering effective stop smoking interventions to inpatients, outpatients, visitors, and hospital staff in line with NICE guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver robust stop smoking interventions and provide evidence-based stop smoking advice to individuals wishing to quit smoking in groups or one-to-one sessions.
* Implement the NHS LTP across several wards in the hospitals, ensuring seamless integration with existing services.
* Identify and engage partners and family members of patients in treatment, promoting a comprehensive approach to smoking cessation.
* Develop and maintain effective referral systems throughout the hospital to the stop smoking service, ensuring seamless transitions for patients.

Requirements:
* Educated to degree level with appropriate professional registration, e.g., nursing, psychology, or allied health professional.
* NCSCT Full Advisor Certificate and Specialty Modules.
* Substantial experience in delivering effective stop smoking interventions and advising on stop smoking medications for individuals with complex health conditions.
* Familiarity with motivational interviewing and NCSCT competency framework for tobacco dependence treatment in mental health settings.
