About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at the Asylum and Refugee Clinic (ARC). As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with children and young people who have experienced trauma and are in need of specialist mental health support.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide direct highly specialist psychotherapeutic assessments and interventions for children with PTSD and their families, adhering to NICE guidelines and best practice evidence.
  2. Work collaboratively with staff from other agencies in direct work with children and young people and their families.
  3. Attend Service and Team Meetings, CAMHS and Trust Wide as appropriate.
  4. Contribute to relevant CAMHS, Trust and Cross-agency working groups at the request of the Clinical Lead.
  5. Assist management in staff recruitment, retention, and provide staff supervision.
  6. Participate in clinical supervision to conform with clinical risk management requirements and professional registration.
  7. Provide activity data on a regular basis.
  8. Be responsible for own workload, and engage with professional practice supervision and caseload review through the management process.

Requirements
  • Significant experience of delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions for PTSD, preferably with children and adolescents.
  • Knowledge of national and local guidelines/policy regarding provision of public sector services to children/young people and their families.
  • Experience of CAMHS multi-disciplinary team working.
