Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Specialist to join our UK Impact Assessment department. As a Senior Environmental Consultant, you will play a key role in coordinating statutory EIA and non-statutory environmental assessment processes for major development proposals in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Environmental Baseline Data Collection and Analysis: Scoping and coordination of environmental baseline data collection, interpretation of data, and provision of advice regarding environmental and sustainability constraints and opportunities for development.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Developing trusted advisor relationships with Ramboll colleagues, supply chain partners, and clients.
- Report Writing and Spatial Data Management: Advanced report writing skills, ability to provide efficient peer review, and coordination of management of spatial data, including preparation of figures.
- Project Delivery Support: Support for and/or leadership of key technical and commercial aspects of project delivery, in collaboration with a Project Director and other team members.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Public Consultation: Advisory skills in relation to preparing materials for stakeholder meetings and public consultations, and participation in public consultation.
About the Team:
You will be part of our UK Impact Assessment department, which forms part of our Global Impact Assessment Spearhead. Our UK business employs over 250 environmental science professionals in 14 locations and covers a breadth of consulting services structured around impact assessment, compliance, strategy, and transactions.
About You:
- Education: Appropriate degree in environmental sciences, environmental engineering, or a related environmental discipline.
- Experience: Prior EIA coordination experience on complex projects, experience in the energy sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
