Job Title: Senior Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist

Tetra Tech is seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist to join our UK-based Environment, Sustainability & Planning (ESP) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process for various projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage EIA projects from scoping to reporting, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs.
  • Coordinate with project teams, stakeholders, and subcontractors to gather necessary data and information.
  • Develop and implement project plans and programmes, ensuring effective resource allocation and team management.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior colleagues, promoting knowledge sharing and capacity building.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant environmental regulations, guidelines, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, Ecology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in conducting and managing EIA across a range of projects, including advising clients and colleagues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
  • Professional membership of an appropriate body (preferably Institute of Environmental Impact Assessment) or eligibility to become a member.
