Job Description

The Head of 3D Design is responsible for leading the Composite Design Group in the design of F1 car components and assemblies. This role seeks continuous improvement in design execution and associated processes with prime focus on car performance.

  • Lead composite concept development
  • Nurture relationships between the Composite, Aero, and Structural design departments
  • Develop workload plans in consultation with business partners
  • Liaise and support the Race Team concerning car reliability resolution

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all composite design 3D/2D CAD checking and sign-off
  • Ensure composite projects are delivered on time as per agreed planning

About You:

  • Graduated in Mechanical Engineering with a strong knowledge of composite materials
  • Minimum 12 years' experience working within composite design in F1
  • Previous experience as a design project leader for main composite structures - chassis/gearbox/nose/wings

Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 per year (dependent on location and experience)
