Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Atrium Recruitment Ltd. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for our clients
  • Work closely with the team to ensure electrical systems meet safety and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with other engineers to ensure electrical systems integrate with mechanical and software systems
  • Conduct electrical safety risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
  • Develop and maintain electrical documentation, including schematics and bills of materials
Requirements:
  • Electrical or Mechatronic qualification, minimum foundation degree
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in designing machine electrical systems from scratch
  • Understanding of UKCA / CE marking PUWER and machine certification
  • Knowledge of different motor drive technologies such as Servo, DC, Stepper and AC motors
  • Strong cause-effect analytical abilities
  • SolidWorks electrical experience (advantageous)
  • IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety certification (advantageous)
  • PUWER accreditation / understanding (advantageous)
