Electrical Design Engineer

Atrium Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Ipswich. As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for a new packaging assembly machine.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for the packaging assembly machine
  • Collaborate with the build and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project execution
  • Conduct electrical safety risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant standards
  • Originate electrical BOMs and participate in build and run-up testing of machines
  • Support the Controls Engineer on commissioning activities
Requirements:
  • Electrical or Mechatronic qualification, minimum foundation degree
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in designing machine electrical systems from scratch
  • Understanding of UKCA/CE marking, PUWER, and machine certification
  • SolidWorks electrical experience is advantageous
